Can Anyone Try Chakra Meditation?
Meditation is traditionally regarded as one of the most potent forms of realizing one’s spiritual being, and in the process, one can live a healthy and aware life. Different people adopt different meditation styles, but if there’s one universally acceptable mode of meditation, that has to be the Chakra Meditation. Many people refer to this also as Chakra Balancing or even Chakra Healing.
Understanding Chakra Meditation
In fact Chakra Meditation is the art of harmonizing and vitalizing all the seven energy points with in the human body, called Chakras, for aligning the movement of energy through them. Here’s a succinct depiction of these 7 energy hubs, or the Chakras.
*Root Chakra, also called the Base Chakra, is situated at the base of the spine. It is related to the ‘Earth’ element, which governs our overall health, security, and prosperity in life.
*The Sacral Chakra, located at the very center of the abdomen – this Chakra represents the element “Water” and is responsible for emotional and sexual components of the personality.
*Power Chakra, also called the Solar Plexus, is situated just above the naval region. It is related to the ‘Fire’ element, which governs our will power, metabolism, and autonomy.
*Heart Chakra is located exact at the middle of human chest. It is associated to the ‘Air’ feature, which often governs our approach of love, sympathy, and common relations.
*The Throat Chakra, at the base of the throat represents the element “Sound”. This Chakra is responsible for communication and creativity.
*Brow Chakra, also named as The Third Eye Chakra, is located between the brows on the forehead. It is associated to the ‘Light’ part, which administers our acuity, understanding and vision.
*Crown Chakra is located at the apex of human head. It is connected to the ‘thought’ component, which usually administers our intelligence, awareness and attentiveness.
You can calm the mind by focusing on these seven important energy centers and synchronizing them. This in turn will result in lower stress and greater contentment. Chakra Meditation can also help to heal any malady which is connected to these seven Chakras.
Chakra Meditation Power
Chakra Meditation involves three techniques in this order.
*Grounding - the idea behind this technique is to build a connection between your body and the Earth itself. You begin by visualizing a root growing from you and penetrating into the Earth. You need to really focus and visualize this in order for it to work.
*Centering Method. This method is imperative as it organizes your body to obtain the advantages of Chakra Meditation. Again, the purpose of this method is not too complex. Just take 4-6 deep inhalations and feel each body component from head to toe being comfortable. This procedure involves tapering and soothing each body part from toe, and then imagining the act of a potter who middles a pot on the pottery helm.
*Relaxation Technique. The Relaxation Technique is the primary act in the entire Chakra Meditation process. Everyone has his or her own method of relaxation. Just find out your preferred mode of relaxing the body and stick to it. In a nutshell, Chakra Meditation is all about relaxing, visualizing, and directing the flow of energy through the seven energy centers (Chakras).
This is an easy way of doing a Chakra Meditation.
*Sit or lie down in a comfortable position.
*Loosen your clothing and close your eyes – you want to be as relaxed as possible without any distractions from outside.
*Take breaths in a comfortable way, which should be neither too quick nor too sluggish. The thought is to renounce the control on your breath, and let it surge naturally, but healthily.
*Start feeling every part of your body from toe to the head in that direction. While your eyes are closed, feel the earth you are lying or sitting on, or the bed you are lying or sitting on, feel the aura around you, feel the clothes you are wearing. Feel everything you’d have had your eyes been open. Visualize life in darkness!
*While you are doing this, you may feel emotions coming on. positive and negative. Let them flow through and out of you – this is the release of your stress! With practice and time, these feelings will disappear.
*Be aware of each and every detail of your body and let your mind wander at will from one to another.
Chakra Meditation can be also done by anyone at whatever time you want, or for however long you have to spare. In fact there is no definite rule for the period of time to execute Chakra Meditation. Just fit it in whenever you can!
