Have you started your “university on wheels” yet?
I've got to admit, when I first heard someone say the phrase "university on wheels", it didn't really make any impact - until I really got to thinking about it.
He was referring to the powerful value we can get listening to professional audio books while driving to work each morning.
You see, most people “waste” as many as 2 or more hours every single day commuting to work. During this time they do nothing other than hum to themselves (leaving their minds empty) all the way while commuting to work.
There are some that listen to the radio on their commute to the office, just listening to the music.
Now… here's a pleasant, yet scary fact -
Do you know that just listening to the right professional business audio books each and every morning as you commute to work will be equivalent to a full university education within some years?!
Definitely.
It may not make sense to you right now, but bear with me as I explain why I said it.
On some university degree programs, the students will spend little more than ten hours a week attending lectures. After a few years of work, they are given a degree.
And we've got to ask… What exactly do they do during these 10 hours each week?
You figured it out… They listen to their tutors to gain the knowledge!
It's a little known fact that you actually get exactly the same value from just listening to the right audio books, in the right field you want to learn about.
You won't receive a university degree after listening to those words, but you will have enriched your knowledge and your life by receiving that information.
I know that there are quite a few audio book programs that will actually require you to complete an exam once you have finished their training programs… and you will receive a certificate afterwards.
Many of such certificates can be used in certain places to give evidence to your expertise in that area.
In that case, why would you continue to "waste" 2 valuable time daily commuting to work when you can "kill 2 birds with one stone" by using the same 2 hours to learn a new skill, a new business idea, a new profession, etc?
To get started, ask yourself what new skill or expertise you will love to know about. When you are certain about your answer, hop online and search for audio book series in that area.
The Internet will be invaluable to you once you decide to get started on your "university on wheels" program.
The fact that audio books come in both CD and Tape formats give you options to choose from. If you have a CD player in your car or cassette player, you can choose any.
Even if you don't drive to work, you walk or talk the bus, you can still benefit from your "university on wheels" program if you purchase an mp3 player, or portable CD or cassette player.
Who knows… if you dedicate the time to follow through, you will be an expert in that area of expertise within a few years time.
And all thanks to the introduction of audio books.
A great source I have found for audio book downloads is Spoken Network. They can be found at:
