Almost all cultures of the word from Japanese to Australian and African to Aborigines believe in reincarnation. Whether it’s a Wiccan or a Hindu, every religion believes that all of us have lived in the past as different people and that past life has made us what we are today.

Each and every past life has shaped our mental, social and physical make up. Hence if you really want to know the ‘real you’ then you need to go into your past lives and meet your self. You need to resolve the past issues and even accumulate all the strengths and positive experiences to make you a better person in this and future lives.

It is not easy to determine how and what the past life was but some of the simple indications are disturbing dreams that keep on visiting you in your sleep that you never was aware if it happened to you. OR when you recall from memory some of the things that happened in your life but you can not explain if when it happened. This may have been you in your past life indicated by the following circumstances:

* A strong love or attraction to some culture that you were not exposed to and that makes no sense in your current life. If you love Mesopotamian art, for instance, you may have a past life from that region in the era you find interesting. Learn more about the art that interests you; if it all comes from a distinct and relatively small time period, that’s a pretty good indication that there’s something there.

* Abnormally strong emotions about some incident in history – if, for instance, you tear up when you look at Washington Crossing the Delaware but not at any other revolutionary art, you may have been involved in that incident in a past life.

* Irrational fears that were not triggered by some incident in your childhood, and possibly allergies as well. Psychological and certain physical issues may be linked to a past life.

You do not have to encounter all these to realize that you really had a past life. Just a single indication may be a signal for you to search your past life. Identify some patterns in your life or learn about the things that suddenly triggers your interest for no reason at all. All these things may have something to do with your past life.

Self hypnosis or hypnosis by a past life regression therapist may also yield great results in past life regression. These regression therapists hypnotize you to help you delve into your deep subconscious memories.

If you decide to use self hypnosis to access your past life yourself, look for a technique that doubles as a deep relaxation method. Try to work with this technique for a while before using it for your regression.

In terms of safety there is nothing significant to worry about. What should happen is that you experience a past life vividly as if you were actually back in time. Although it may not be this intense you should still be able to experience ‘shadows’ and ‘feelings’ of a past life.

Good memories will provoke good feelings. Conversely a bad past life memory will result in the same feelings as if you have had a bad dream. You will just wake up feeling uneasy, like you have had a nightmare. But please bear in mind that unpleasant memories, if indeed they are any, are an important part of the regression experience.

It is the remembering of this past life, which is important; and once you have remembered, you can start to move on. It is only the subconscious suppression of these memories which causes problems. By understanding and accepting what happened in the past you can start to experience this present life with a totally different outlook.

Good karma has a great part in the life of people. And because you had a good life in the past, it is believed that you will also have good karma in your current life. But it is your responsibility to keep your soul as good as you can possibly be in order for your good karma to follow you in your current life. But once you change yourself from good to bad, your karma will also turn into bad karma until you realized it and go back to being good.

However, there is often confusion by people over this interpretation. We are not destined to be bad or deserve to suffer because of a past life. With each new life we are literally born anew and it is our own choice to do the things you do. Once you realize that a certain memory is from a previous life, and you are not a ‘bad’ person now, then you can go on to have a ‘good’ life in the present.
