Hypnosis can increase some symptoms, especially when unfit diagnoses are made.  If you have mental complications, such as Multiple Personality Disorder, ( MPD ), currently spotted as Disassociate Identity Disorder, ( DID ), then I recommend you avoid hypnosis.  These folk self-induce trance-like states and it could cause heavy complications if you allow somebody unqualified to hypnotise you.
