It is easier than you may think. Successful people know the importance of successful time management and why without it you will fail. This is because time is the most valuable asset that is free to you. But how you spend your time is the difference between success and failure. One of the most important things to do is to have your day mapped out.

It is crucial to have your goals lined up of what needs to be done for the day written down and do not do any other task until you have the goals for the day finished. Set up specific times to take at least 1 /2 hour breaks for yourself. This will keep you from getting stressed out and overwhelmed with your work. It is really important not to let anything distract you from your goals. Because it is easy to get off track from such things as phone calls, people stopping by ect… and once your off track it is hard to get back on track.

Use the backside of business cards to help your memory.

Usually we get a lot of business cards as we go about our daily business of life. The business card of course contains the name of the person, his or her telephone number and probably the name of the firm for which the person works. But the problem is, the next time we meet the person, the face may seem familiar but we won’t have the foggiest idea as to where we met the person. The best thing to do would be to jot down a few points about the person and probably the reason for meeting him or her and the place as well. This will certainly lessen the load on your memory centre. This will help you in becoming a more organized person and improve your relationships.

Perhaps the most important thing that you can do for yourself is when ever you are busy on your tasks for the day and someone does interrupt you know that it is OK to say no.

That is probably the best thing that you can learn to do. Learn to say no. You do not have to be mean about it. Just say I’m sorry but right now is not a good time for me let me call you later. Or I’m right in the middle of something really important let me get back with you. Now get busy using this in your life and you will see how much more you are getting done
